The beehive is closed today because we were out celebrating my birthday! We had a nice quiet dinner at ZOZO, a Korean restaurant near my office.
We ordered abalone Ginseng chicken soup and kimchi and pork casserole, the mild, nutritious chicken broth versus the hearty and flavourful Kimchi soup.
The assortment of tasty side dishes (banchan) that came complimentary with the meal.
Mildly flavoured abalone and ginseng chicken, with a slight tinge of sweetness. The chicken was stuffed with glutinous rice and boiled in a broth of ginseng root, abalone, dried jujube, garlic and mushrooms. AUD 28.
Kimchi and pork casserole, made of tofu, kimchi, mushrooms, rice cakes and thin pork slices in a spicy broth. Served with rice. AUD 17.

Joan, do you like korean food too? :) Sydney has a strong Korean presence, there are more Koreans in NSW than other parts of Australia.
